Br. John Frampton OFM Cap.: Katharine: A Modern Day Miracle     EN - CA, trans: HU

Katharine was born with a heart defect and was not expected to live past three months. Her parents tried to bargain with God, offer a promise or sacrifice that could have been made in exchange for Katharine’s recovery and well being. Yet, there was no cure! But their hope and love were astonishing; a hope that enabled one little child to defy the odds and live well beyond the pre-supposed three months! With tubes in her nose and a skin colour that was a constant reminder of her suffering, she was always eager to smile for any audience. Katharine suffered and smiled! She lived because she was and knew love! What greater healing is there? The day Katharine died I knew that my God is a loving God and I firmly believe that every life has intention, despite age.
