PRESS SERVICES
As a successful, private printmaker, Keith Henry has been producing limited edition etchings, lithographic prints and handmade paper for over 20 years. Besides maintaining his own etching and lithographic press in his private studio, Keith gained extensive experience as a press consultant and technician working for Praga Industries, building and servicing lithographic and etching presses for local private artists and academic facilities. When Praga closed their doors in 2007, as a concerned private artist, he continued to provide his specialized technical services on a part time basis to friends and artists who knew him.
“Keith can diagnose and resolve any and all issues you might be having with your press.”
Over the years, Keith has earned a reputation of providing quality, and reliable press repair services to local printmakers. He is now offering his technical skills and experience to printmakers in the Southern Ontario area. If you require the moving, setup, maintenance or on-site repair to any make, model, style or brand of printmaking press, give Keith a call.
The sheer size and weight of some printmaking

There are many advantages to regular servicing of machinery. Regular servicing enables early identification of any changes in the machinery and monitoring of wear and tear. This in turn can reduce the likelihood of large repairs and unplanned prolonged machine down time, which can cause administrative problems in a busy studio or workshop. Any damage to the machine found at the time of service, can be assessed and recommendations made.
Regular servicing will also enable the machinery to work to its best ability. Adjustment of the machine to prevent problems such as paper crease and blanket creep will enable a professional print quality, vital for any print workshop or studio conducting end of year exams. Re-levelling of platens can vastly improve the usability of the Relief presses and this can be undertaken during the service as necessary.
Checking of items, which may have become damaged over time, is essential to make sure the equipment is safe for you, your students, other printmakers and those with access to the studio, a vital tool in risk management.
We repair and service all makes, models, styles, and brands of printmaking presses, regardless of their manufacturer. We also repair all styles of printmaking presses including etching, lithography, combination, and monotype presses
