THE MANY FACES OF LOVE
“That ye love one another; as I have loved you”
We are waiting for you!

Thought stimulation  -  hints for those who decide to write a paper, to be co-organizer or to be patron

First the mankind have to have experience about the love and after God state that the love give the value of our actions. Jesus taught on behalf of the love implied in the relationship and asked to love each other. In the love-relationship we become to know confidently the other secrets. The rejected love have to have renewed in suffering to remain love. This is the drama of the self-surpass of the love-dialogue. The love call upon a mutual love, ask for a free will decision, towards with which nobody can remain neutral. The love call you for a perfect submit because our love will remain for the eternity too.

It's developing degrees:
- to get love from everybody
- to get directed love
- to give directed love
- to give love for everybody

Questions and arguable sentences, or propose new ones:

- Love of our neighbour, love of God, love of our country, friends, children, parents, husbands and wives, love of our enemies, loving my favourite food, self- love, platonic love... What is common in these that we are using the same word?
- What is love? Inclination? Feeling? Virtue? Psychological phenomenon? Chemical reactions, hormonal interactions? Or something else?
- Is love a question of will, or feeling?
- Is love a sickness? To where we “fall” in, and “healed”?
- The Greek language uses four different words for love. Does this have any meaning, or is it an unnecessary hair-splitting?

- Must love always build, or sometimes destroy too?
- Can we be silent about truth out of love? In case of terminal illness, etc.
- What about those who are unable to experience love? Mentally challenged, etc.
- Is love necessary for our lives?
- If we can reach to love without condition as Jesus love us, whether do we need other's love?

- The people around us should recognize us from our love. How successful are we in this respect?
- Is it possible to practice the love of our enemies in our daily lives?  How can anyone love Stalin or Hitler?
- Also other religions regard love highly. Do they speak about the same thing? For example, is the Buddhist compassion (karuna) and the Christian concept of love the same?
- What can we see when we compare the Old and the New Testament? The Old Testament is sometimes related to Law, while the New Testament to Love. Do we still then need the Old Testament? What is the relationship between love, Law, fear and respect?

- Pope Benedict's first encyclical speaks about love. Why now, and what is it about?
- Saint Paul's hymn to love is a classic text and every second wedding invitation quotes from it. It's practice is somehow less successful, if we consider the high divorce rates.  What could be the reason for this?
- How can we reconcile our belief in a loving God with the existence of evil (wars, earthquakes, tidal waves, everlasting hell, etc.)? Some people think God is not only loving, but also just. Others find this answer unsatisfactory.
- Is Christian love necessary to practice humanitarian love? Many charity agencies work around us and with quite a success.

- The dark side of love: possessing love, love taking advantages of the weak, selfish love, abusing love, the love of power, sin, violence, gossip.
- What is the difference between heterosexual and homosexual love?
- Are animals able to love? Or is it exclusively a human privilege?
