"Bob's Column" by Robert A. Haslewood, CPC #860 ...
illustrates and describes several examples of Canada's 1908 local Christmas seal issued by
the Muskoka Free Hospital for Consumptives.
"What Is It?" by Christina Howland-Stitt, CPC #810 ... Christina
illustrates an Iceland cover with a 1971 Kiwanis International seal tied by a North Pole
Iceland 'postmark.' The character on the seal is also shown on the left side of the
envelope. Christina asks readers for information on this character.
"Round the World Christmas Covers" by
Richard Beecher, CPC #987... illustrates and describes two registered covers from British
Commonwealth countries. A cover mailed from Australia to the USA bears two different kinds
of registration markings and the back of the covers shows two different dispatch marks as
well as two different receiving marks. A second cover mailed in 1970 from St. John,
Antigua also shows two different registration markings.
"Collector's Corner" by Douglas K. Lehmann, CPC #742 ...illustrations of a
FDC of the 1946 United States national seal and a cover postmarked Santa Claus, IN Dec.
25, 1946 with a block of four imperforate seals tied on cover. Douglas tells us the
background of these covers made by Charles Lorenz for a small circle of seal collector
friends.
"Christmas Philatelic Club Auction"...Mary Turner, CPC #720 describes 69 lots of
Christmas philatelic items including worldwide stamps, souvenir sheets, Presentation
Packs, Gutter pairs, miscellaneous covers, cards, meters, postal cards, Boa Festas postal
card, postmarks, Skinny Claus covers and Christmas related postcards. Many items are
illustrated.
