The Ken Mackenzie Writer's Award is an annual award given for
the best article in the Yule Log for that year. The
award is named in honor of the Christmas Philatelic Club's founder, the late Ken
Mackenzie, who was himself a frequent contributor to the Yule Log.
Only original articles are considered for this award. The
editor of the Yule Log selects several articles from the current year's Yule Logs. Members
of the Executive Board and the editor cast their votes, ranking their first, second and
third favorite choices. The editor tallies the scores (3 points for first, 2 points for
second, 1 point for third) to select the winner.
See Criteria for the Ken Mackenzie Award.
A new award for writers of columns
that appear regularly in the Yule Log has been established.
See Criteria for the Regular Columnists Award.
