Christmas precancels. An interesting cover is shown with the 1970 toy precancels and two
printings of the 1970 Nativity precancel used on Jan. 31, 1971, the day the stamps were
demonetized.
"The Carols and Songs of Christmas"...Glenn
Vasbinder, CPC #484 continues his series by describing the origins of the carols "We
Three Kings of Orient Are," "Christmas for Cowboys" and "Up on the
Housetop."
"Just a Sip" - Religion on Christmas
Stamps"... Rev. Frank Pieper , CPC #1051,
continues to share his enjoyment of collecting Religion on Christmas stamps with readers
of the Yule Log. Rev. Pieper illustrates stamps showing the journey of Mary and Joseph
from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Rev. Pieper relates an imaginary story about angels discussing
where the Son of God would be born.
'Round the World Christmas Covers...Richard
Beecher, CPC #987, illustrates a 1978 cover from Nicaragua using the 1977 Christmas stamp
picturing a scene from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. The covers has several interesting
receiving marks.

Christmas Philatelic Club Auction - Mary Turner and Richard Sartor describe 167 lots
of Christmas philatelic material. Many lots are illustrated. This issue's auction is a
donation aution. All proceeds for the benefit of the Club. The auction includes worldwide
stamps, commemorative panels, U.S. First Day Covers, First Day Programs, Miscellaneous
Seal items, German magazines, postmarks, Letters from Santa and Miscellaneous Christmas
items.
