The Evolution of United States Christmas Stamps...
Serge E. Logan, CPC #1541, describes the 101 face-different Christmas stamps of the United
States. This total increases to 181 by adding the great variety of collecting types, ie,
luminescent tagged, different formats, precanceled etc. Several issues are illustrated.

Ken Mackenzie Writer's Award Winner...The 1997
Ken Mackenzie Writer's Award Winner is Linda Lawrence of Lexington, Kentucky for her
article "Christmas Cancels of Kentucky" which
appeared in the January/February, 1997 issue of the Yule
Log.
CPC Election of Officers...Officers of the Christmas Philatelic Club for the 1998-99 term
are announced.
From the President's Desk...Newly elected
President Glenn Vasbinder invites members to get involved with CPC in some manner. Members
are invited to write to him or other officers of the Club to voice their likes/dislikes.
Via Nazareth... Member Victor Tommaso tells
members how to send a Christmas card "via Nazareth."

customs associated with the varied linguistic areas of this country.

and Richard Sartor describe 126 lots of Christmas philatelic material, including stamps,
Canada FDCs, Foreign FDCs, miscellaneous seal items, United States and Foreign
cancellations, CPC covers, postal stationery, maxi cards, postcards and some miscellaneous
Christmas collectibles. This is a DONATION AUCTION. All proceeds to the Christmas
Philatelic Club.
