"Christmas
Stamp Stories: Victorian Christmas Covers . . . by Pastor Wilmer Bloy, CPC #1363 . . . Pastor Bloy
describes a set of covers to commemorate many of the achievements that occurred during
Queen Victoria's reign from 1837-1901. Four of the 53 covers show Christmas customs that
began during the Victorian era. Three covers are illustrated in full colour.
"A Report
from WASHINGTON 2006". . . by Richard
L. Beecher, CPC #987. Richard describes and illustrates three Christmas-related
covers he picked up at the show. A Christmas metered cover which was short paid by 11
cents shown by the tied postage due stamps. A U.S. Postal Service change of address
card....signed October 8 but not postmarked until December 22 and franked with two 8 cents
Christmas stamps. The third cover features four different services: ordinary first class
mail, special delivery service, registration and return receipt service.

Turner, CPC #720 . . . 54 lot auction including Souvenir Sheets, Canadian First Day
Covers and United States Seal Covers.
"The Irene
B. Chidester New Author Award" . . . announcement about a new writer's award
for CPC members writing in the Yule Log for the first time. The award is named after Irene
Chidester, a long time former editor of the Yule Log.
