THE CARTALK INTERVIEWS

The inspiration for these pieces, aired during the week of the International Festival of Authors on MetroMorning and Here and Now, sprang from the candid conversations I would have with the authors I was hired to pick up from the airport.  It was the first idea I ever pitched to CBL.  I arranged and conducted all ten of the interviews and ended up editing the final ones amid the busyness of these daily, live drive-time programs.

CANADIANS IN NEW YORK

Shortly after the events of 911, I found myself in New York

City and arranged a round table discussion with four Canadians living there about their perspectives on the subject.  One worked for the Canadian Consulate, one worked for the United Nations, and two for Unicef.  It aired on Here and Now on the anniversary of the catastrophe.

TIFF STORIES

As a seasonal employee of the Toronto International Film Festival, I had met a lot of interesting people and recorded a few interesting stories like this one from Martin Heath, an original founder of the festival.
