About Me (Mr. Campbell)

Greetings to the parents and students who don't know me already (I have been teaching at Sir Edgar Bauer since January of 1999)! This is my second year in the Junior division (I spent 10 years as an FSL teacher, and 3 years as a Grade 8 teacher). For those of you who do know me (and who will soon get to do so), I look forward to having a fantastic year with my Grade 6 class and getting to know your sons and daughters as we embark on our educational journey together! I encourage you to contact me whenever you wish; an e-mail link has been provided for this purpose. A note to any students reading this page: the e-mail link is intended for parents only. Thank you.

Homework is useful in reinforcing skills and materials learned in class. It prepares students for upcoming topics, teaches responsibility, and helps develop positive study skills. In grade 6, students should expect to spend about an hour on homework a night. It is my intention to allow the students as much class time as possible to complete their work. The only homework the students should expect to have every night is Math and Language. During the course of the week, most subjects will be covered. Only Math will be assigned every day and due the next school day. This is the nature of the program.

What are the class rules?

Our major class rule in Room 8 is R-E-S-P-E-C-T, as Aretha Franklin says (sings). Students are to respect the teacher, each other and each other's (and the school's) property. A more comprehensive list will be given to the students for them to reference as needed. Our class is to leave and enter the school building this year through the Junior doors, specificially exit #4. We are to use this exit, and this exit only, at all times of the day.

What is an Educational Assistant?

An Educational Assistant (EA) is a staff member who is assigned to work with a specific student or students in order to facilitate curriculum delivery.

What are the Expectations for my class?

Students will have fun, work hard and enjoy coming to learn in Room 6! They will treat each other and staff members the way they themselves would wish to be treated.
